Culture Keepers Demands ACHP Halt Expedited Vote on Section 106 Revisions

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 23, 2026 — Fighting a private, expedited vote on Section 106 revisions, The Culture Keepers Circle delivered a letter to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP). The Circle requests the ACHP immediately rescind its July 17 draft. Founder A. Prince Albert III warned that the draft, as written, directly endangers the undocumented heritage of African-descendant, Indigenous, Latiné, Asian American, and Pacific Islander communities.
