The Circle Co-Hosts ‘Rep Hard Yard’ Homecoming Celebration at Penn Center

ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC, November 07, 2025 — The Culture Keepers Circle (TCKC) co-hosted the Rep Hard Yard Homecoming Celebration during the 41st Annual Penn Center Heritage Days, a historic festival that welcomed over 10,000 attendees. Coordinated in partnership with the Penn Center and the Gullah/Geechee Nation, Black-College-themed activation delivered a "true homecoming-style experience" on sacred ground, celebrating Black collegiate culture and education as a living legacy of cultural sustainability. To bring this vision to life, The Circle convened over a dozen Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) admissions offices, alumni groups, and African American organizations. Ultimately, the gathering connected college-bound and trade-eligible students from over 20 local high schools with mentors, recruiters, and community leaders to pursue meaningful careers.
